Developmental Neuroimaging Lab
Join the Lebel Lab
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, our lab uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to study brain development from infancy all the way to early adulthood. The primary themes of our research include building an understanding of normative development, the impact of adverse childhood experience and protective factors, how brain maturation and plasticity are related to cognition and behaviour, and how these relationships may be different in children with developmental disorders.
Does our research sound like something you would like to be a part of?

Graduate Studentships and Postdoctoral Fellowships
Our lab offers opportunities to build expertise in neuroscience, medical imaging, and human behaviour. As a trainee, you will lead a research project with a focus on the themes described above, collaborate with other labs, draw upon our large pool of available data, aid in ongoing data collection for our studies, present your research to academic and public audiences, attend conferences and workshops, and more. Common start times for students are the beginning of the University of Calgary's Fall and Winter terms, but expressions of interest are welcomed at any time.
